Archaeologists have discovered an ancient town called Al-Natah in an oasis in Saudi Arabia. This town spanned 2.6 hectares and it is believed that around 500 people lived in it. It is located in the Khaybar oasis in Saudia Arabia’s northwestern region. According to archaeologists, the origins of this town trace back to 2,400 BCE and it comprised a necropolis and a decision-making area. The town also included many homes and streets and was surrounded by protective barriers. This discovery gives archaeologists an insight into how the life of the people in the region was gradually shifting towards urbanisation from a nomadic way of life.
