Scientists at a USA-based startup named REMspace conducted an experiment through which they demonstrated that two people could communicate with each other while experiencing lucid dreams.
Lucid dreams take place during an individual’s rapid eye movement (REM) sleep phase and during this state, the dreamer is aware of the fact that they are asleep and dreaming.
For the experiment, scientists employed a specialised system to collect polysomnographic information and monitor the brain waves of two individuals who participated in the experiment.
A word was transmitted to the first participant who was experiencing a lucid dream. This word was then conveyed to the second participant through the system and she successfully received it, proving that communicating through dreams is possible.
