Musical instrument producer Yamaha Corporation plans to create guitars using leftover wood generated during the manufacturing of musical instruments such as pianos and marimbas. Through this initiative, called ‘Upcycling Guitar’, the company aims to employ new techniques to create guitars from wood varieties that aren’t usually used to produce guitars. Despite using scrap material to manufacture guitars, the company will work towards ensuring that the guitars’ high sound quality remains intact. Through this project, Yamaha Corporation intends to make the best use of resources.
