Student archaeologists excavating a Gaulish village close to Eu in France’s Normandy discovered a glass bottle containing a message from two centuries ago. The message was written by an archaeologist named PJ Feret who had excavated the site in 1825. In the message, Feret who belonged to Dieppe in France, mentions his archaeological work at Cite de Limes. This discovery is expected to enhance archaeologists’ understanding of the archaeological methods and processes employed at the time.
