Children raised in poverty encounter numerous issues and are often denied the chance to pursue their ambitions. SUDHIR KUMAR, an alumnus of Salaam Baalak Trust, was determined to lead a fulfilling life. He fled from his poverty-stricken home in pursuit of education and independence. Though he couldn’t fulfil his dream of joining the Indian Army, he persevered through challenges and became a martial arts trainer. SCARLETT RODRIGUES spoke to him to learn more about his journey.
