Sprawling outwards as far as the eye can see in the Little Rann of Kutch is a unique landscape—the largest salt desert in the world.

Flamingoes If you happen to visit this area sometime between December and March you will find the soil patterned with cracks, reminding you of parched earth. But this is only an illusion. It is soft soil, with water not very deep inside. This ‘parched earth’ is steeped with salt encrustations.
