Indian-origin Astrophysicist Earns Time Magazine Title

An astrophysicist of Indian origin named Priyamvada Natarajan has earned a place in Time Magazine’s ‘100 Most Influential People of 2024’ list for her groundbreaking research on black holes and their formation.

An astrophysicist of Indian origin named Priyamvada Natarajan has earned a place in Time Magazine’s ‘100 Most Influential People of 2024’ list for her groundbreaking research on black holes and their formation. The list, which is published annually, includes politicians, scientists, actors and other people who have created an impact through their work. Natarajan is currently a professor in the astronomy and physics departments of Yale University, USA. She is well-known for her work on dark energy and dark matter. She was born in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and is an alumnus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.
