Preesha Chakraborty, a nine-year-old Indian-American student, has been included in the Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented Youth’s (JH-CTY) world’s brightest students list. Preesha, who is a class 6 student at Warm Springs Elementary School in California, USA, won the Grand Honours award based on the results of the JH-CTY test, an above-grade-level evaluation that assessed more than 16,000 students from 90 countries. Her achievement makes her eligible for more than 250 programmes in different fields offered by the JH-CTY. She is also a lifetime member of an international high intelligence quotient (IQ) society called Mensa Foundation, which comprises members from numerous countries worldwide.
