To be a person,
Is not easy!
Cause you have to smile even when you are broken,
Even when you are suffering, you have to talk sweetly!
You need to keep your feelings to yourself,
In the process, you gotta lose thyself!
You have to adjust for others,
Your emotions always have to be under the covers!
Oh the compulsory struggle to fit in,
And the war to always win.
You have to try damn hard every time,
You won’t even realize and you have committed a crime.
You are expected to be within the social boundaries,
Be conscious about them instead of making memories.
Then come our close friends,
They are there for you to break the cruel social trends.
They are born to make your life better,
They stand for you, whatever may be the matter.
In front of them, you can be YOU,
They only fill your life with some value!
You can share what you feel,
They exactly know how to deal.
They don’t leave you even when you shout,
They are there for you when you are in a doubt.
They understand you the way you are,
They never hurt you, never leave a scar!
So, cherish their presence,
Cause their company is the only shelter in the world that never really makes sense!
