The James Webb Telescope that was launched from French Guiana on Christmas Day 2021 is going to be used for the study of a variety of celestial phenomena including quasars. Quasars are extremely huge and remote celestial objects that emit large amounts of energy. The energy emitted by quasars is more powerful than all the stars in a galaxy. The telescope will help astronomers examine the role quasars played in the evolution of galaxies in the early universe.
